General Hospital Spoilers: Dex Was Born For The Mob, Just Like His Father

General Hospital spoilers leak Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) has his own beef with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), and it has little to do with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Ever since Dex came onto the scene and spliced himself into the canvas of Sonny’s life as his new right-hand man, people have speculated over what his real connection might be to the mafioso. Two prevailing theories have held strong ever since: Dex is Sonny’s son, or he’s Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) son. What say you?

General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Corinthos Makes Sense

If Sonny is Dex’s father, it stands to reason that Sonny’s first wife — Lily Corinthos (Lilly Melgar) — is probably his mother.

Could DEx have infiltrated Sonny’s organization as a means of getting closer to his father, or is getting to know him the last thing he was interested in?

Maybe he initially just wanted to bring the guy ro ruins for jilting him and not being around when he was growing up, but he could have grown a soft spot for him over the last several months of working for him, too.

GH Spoilers – Tease Jason Morgan Makes Sense, too

Just because it makes sense that Sonny could be Dex’s father doesn’t mean that’s the only option. Jason is dead, and while we’re all continually mourning that loss and hoping to see him return someday, for right now — Dex could be back to avenge his dad’s death.

It’s possible that he holds Sonny accountable for Jason being gone, feeling that he could have had his father in his life if he hadn’t been corrupted by Sonny and turned onto the mob life.

Of course, if Jason is Dex’s dad, that begs the question: who is his mother? Some fans have suggested it may be Karen Wexler (Marie Wilson), and that would keep her out of the picture now since she’s deceased.

General Hospital Spoilers — This Changes Everything

Michael had no idea when he hired Dex that he may have been hiring his own relative. Dex could be his stepbrother or his cousin, and it’s possible that they may have time down the road to meet each other in that way. But for now, Dex is still keeping his lips sealed about his real connection to Port Charles and why he wanted to take this job.

In hindsight, it’ll make sense why he wouldn’t let Michael quit the many times he tried to. It’ll also make sense why he hasn’t jumped ship and left town, despite Michael calling it all off and Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) wanting him out of the mob. Dex doesn’t want out.
