General Hospital Spoilers: Elizabeth and Esme Share a Family Connection — Reiko, or General Hospital spoilers reveals Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) is taking care of Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) right now, but only as a favor to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) since Esme is pregnant with his child — allegedly. Being a nurse and a mother of three boys has afforded Esme a certain level of knowledge to help a woman in this position, but she’s certainly no doctor or midwife.

However, she’s going to feel a stronger connection to Esme as she gets to know her during their check-ups, and at first she might just assume it’s because Elizabeth knows what it feels like to be young and on her own, and surprisingly pregnant. However, as Esme continues to open up about her own life, Elizabeth might start to suspect there is more to the story.

While she won’t be aware of it or able to confirm any kind of connection, Elizabeth shares a rather wild connection to Esme — though the young hostage doesn’t know it either. Heather Webber (Alley Mills) was once married to Elizabeth’s father, Jeff Webber (William R. Moses), but that was before Elizabeth’s time.

However, Heather went on to have a child with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner). That child was Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), Elizabeth’s late husband. In other words, Heather would technically be Elizabeth’s mother-in-law. But that’s old news. What neither Esme nor Elizabeth know is that Heather may be Esme’s birth mother, which would make Esme and Elizabeth sisters-in-law. Will the connection Elizabeth starts to feel toward Esme feel familiar, like she’s spending time with Franco at times?

Of course, there’s another theory roaming the streets that Esme’s birth mother is actually Reiko Finn (Mele Ihara). Depending on paternity, this could tie back to Elizabeth in two different ways. If Esme was conceived out of an affair with Jeff, that means Esme and Elizabeth are not sisters-in-law but real half-sisters! On the other hand, if Reiko’s baby was a byproduct of her marriage to Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), that would make Finn a father to Esme, and Elizabeth would land in the role of a quasi-stepmother to the sinister seductress.
