General Hospital Spoilers: Ethan’s Return Explained – Helps Sonny Take Down Cullum And Sidwell?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Ethan Lovett’s (Nathan Dean) soon return to Port Charles is for a special reason.

With Jason Morgan (Steve Burton ) in WSB custody at an unknown location, he’s there to help take Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) take down Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes)!

Ethan Has His Own Reason To Want Revenge On Sidwell

Ethan has his own reason to want revenge on Sidwell-General Hospital fans may remember that when Sidwell had Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) captive, Ethan’s mother Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) was “involved” with him.

Granted, Holly was part of her own trouble with Sidwell after coming back to Port Charles, not being able to resist swiping some diamonds.

But after that was straightened out partly due to the diamonds being returned to Sidwell-after almost blowing up Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson)-other facts came out. Sidwell did other things that Holly didn’t divulge, at least until she felt safe from him.

Sonny Needs The Help And Ethan Has Experience With Sidwell And Cullum

It’s obvious that Sonny needs the help, since there’s no telling when Jason will be released-or found and rescued, as the case very well may be.

Plus, not only does Ethan have experience with Sidwell, it turns out he’s had problems with Cullum in the past-and knows Sidwell and Cullum have worked together for a very long time!

Through either his own or his mother’s experiences with the baddies, Ethan’s definitely got an inside track that will greatly assist in the process.

However, Sonny is mindful of what Jason shared with him about Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) Huntington’s meds-which Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) was murdered for stealing.

It appears that Ethan may know something about that as well, and where Cullum was having the “cure” produced-and can possibly get some.

Ethan May Act Like A Double Agent

Ethan may act like a double agent, in the same way that his mother, Holly, has for many years-although not so much now that she’s back with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers).

There are very fine lines between mobsters and mercenaries the way it is, and Ethan has functioned as both, over the years.

Sonny, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and Brick (Stephen A. Smith) will likely have a joint meeting with Ethan when he arrives in town-or shortly thereafter.

The first to see Ethan, as happened with “Nathan West” aka Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) when he arrives in town will be none other than his half-sister, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening).

Ethan may not have time for a Spencer family reunion-at least just not yet; he’s a man on a mobster-mercenary mission to help Sonny take down Sidwell and Cullum!
