General Hospital Spoilers: Kin Shriner Tweets He’s Been “Written Out” No Longer Playing Scotty Baldwin

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Kin Shriner tweeted a stunning message tonight, indicating that he’s been let go from the ABC show he’s starred on as Scotty Baldwin since 1977.

He kept the message short and sweet, tweeting: “I just found out Scotty @GeneralHospital was written out I thank u @GeneralHospital fans for decades of supporting me !!” It’s the third time in recent memory that Shriner has tweeted about leaving the long running soap.

Fans were in disbelief with one person tweeting: “WHAT???? YOU KIDDING ME ??? NO!! You have been there for years Kin Big Bro hugs to you Kin.. #GH #KINSHRINER,” and another sinmply saying, “NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!”

Another person responded “No, say it ain’t so . I grew up watching you. I hope this is not going to happen and they change their mind #GH .”

Another fan asked “Is it wrong to hope that your Twitter account has been hacked and an imposter posted this? Is this why they broke Scott and Liesl up? Why would @GeneralHospital make such an bad decision?”

But another fan questioned Kin: “Nobody is writing anything for the show due to the strike, so how could Scotty be “written out”?

In 2018 Kin also tweeted that he’d been let go from the show: “Scott Baldwin out.” 

And, in 2020 he tweeted his displeasure about his status on the daytime drama: “I have a couple of shows @General Hospital coming up but embarrassed to continue to promote a character I have played for over 42 years is now a day player. Thank you for your support over the years!” The show has not issued a response to Shriner’s tweet.

Shriner debuted on the Port Charles, New York based soap in 1977. In the beginning he was the love interest of Laura Collins (Genie Frances) who eventually became one part of the first soap supercouple “Luke and Laura” with Tony Geary as Luke Spencer.

In the recent past Scott was in a relationship with Liesl Obrecht that had him onscreen, but that romance has fizzled.
