General Hospital Spoilers: Nanny Maggie Is Headed To Port Chuck, Where She’ll Raise Esme’s Baby

General Hospital spoilers reveal Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) has just given birth to a new Cassadine baby boy. Her son may fill Nikolas Cassdaine’s (Adam Huss) shoes well, with the right grooming and family support. How is she going to be able to provide that from prison though? Esme’s mind is filled with anxieties about how she will care for her child when she hasn’t two pennies to rub together, a home, or basic freedom.

She is only at General Hospital because she just gave birth. She isn’t free to leave and check herself out whenever she likes. When she is cleared by the doctors, she is headed back to Spring Ridge, unless a judge remands her to a higher level of security since she did bust out of the place with two serial killers. Esme will feel an immense sense of peace when her former nanny, Maggie Fitzgerald (Heather Olt), shows up to do what she does best.

Maggie was clearly entrusted with Esme and her fellow adopted siblings’ care. She never harmed her and brought her into adulthood, still caring for her in some emotional capacity long after and trying to guide her on the right path. Esme knows Maggie as best as she knows anyone, given her recent memory loss. When Maggie shows up and offers to take care of Esme’s baby while she is incarcerated, will Esme take her up on that offer despite the fact that she feels like a complete stranger? It sounds like she won’t have many options if she wants to keep her child out of the state foster care system.

GH Spoilers – Hint Maggie Could Jog Esme Price’s Broken Memory

Maggie’s visit could do some serious good. She just might be able to jog Esme’s memory with little effort. So far, everyone who has been engaging with Esme was hoping they would be able to bring her back to the current reality she’s facing and help her remember what happened before all of this transpired. Maggie won’t come with those intentions, but rather, just wanting to make sure Esme is okay. That kind of love, affection, and support could strike a nerve in Esme and help her memories come flooding back.

General Hospital Spoilers — What Does That Mean For Nikolas Cassadine?

When Esme does remember all that has happened, she’s going to be acutely aware of the harm she has caused to others — many of whom have only been trying to help her since she washed up with hypothermia and had a baby. The guilt is going to eat Esme alive as she aims to do the right thing and hold herself accountable for her actions. As for Nikolas, he’s missing in action and any confession on her part that he held her hostage isn’t going to produce great results as long as the PCPD can’t find him. However, her memory of Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) involvement could cause a ripple effect across many of Liz’s loved ones — unless, of course, Emse finds a reason not to out Elizabeth.
