General Hospital Spoilers: Nikolas Is Alive — And Ava Needs A Plan B

General Hospital spoilers reveal Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) didn’t die — again. Unbeknownst to Ava Jerome (Maura West), her ex-husband is alive and well, and planning her takedown.

There is nothing he would love more than to head straight to the PCPD and report her for trying to kill him. But then he would be also setting himself up to be arrested since he’s still wanted for holding Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).

He’ll have to be much more clever about this if he wants to punish Ava while skirting the law, and blackmail has certainly been his favorite trick of the trade in the past. But what does he want from her and how will he make her pay?

General Hospital Spoilers — Austin Austin Gatlin Holt Will Have Some Explaining to Do

Nikolas turning up rather undead isn’t going to bode well with Ava. Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) assured her he was dead. What kind of doctor is he who can’t take a pulse? He helped her move Nikolas’ presumed corpse.

All of this time, it appears he was in on it with Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) and working Ava to their advantage for Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Ava and Nik were just casualties in a game against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

We can be certain that Ava will demand an explanation from Austin — who was never really in trouble or living with the same pressure she was from having a dead man hanging over her head.

All along, he knew Nik was alive. He knew he was guilty of nothing and wasn’t actually commiserating or conspiring with Ava at all.

Will he try to pretend he didn’t and that Mason kept him in the dark, too? Is Ava really going to buy that?

GH Spoilers – Hint Nikolas Cassadine Lays A Trap

When Ava discovers that Nikolas is alive and well, she’ll be ready to crawl out of her skin. While she was already struggling with the fact that she killed a man — and at that, a man she used to love deeply — now she’ll have a new burden to face as she attempts to keep her very much alive ex-husband as quiet as a dead man.

How can she prevent him from turning her in for attempted murder? That’s a good question, and many fans are starting to wonder if Nikolas has been using his time away from the daylight of Port Charles to rethink his initial strategy with Ava.

There is a thin line between love and hate, and if Nik’s barometer has bounced back in the other direction, he just may promise to keep his lips sealed for a price — Ava’s hand in marriage, again.

Prior to Sonny being arrested, Ava was confident that Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) got the information Mason’s boss was seeking. In turn, she should soon be provided with Nikolas’ corpse to dispose of.

When that doesn’t happy, she’s sure to be shaking in her Louboutin’s without anyone in her corner. Austin was barely trustworthy to begin with, but their shared secret bonded them.
