General Hospital Spoilers: Nikolas & Sonny Showdown – Nikolas Wants To Help Take Cyrus Down, Mobster Says No Way!

General Hospital spoilers tease that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will have a showdown in an upcoming episode of GH – Nikolas wants to help take Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) down, but Sonny wants him to let the “professionals” handle it – meaning himself and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)!

General Hospital Spoilers – Nikolas Cassadine Is Anxious To Make Amends With His Family Who He Has Hurt

General Hospital viewers will recall that Nikolas has been very anxious for forgiveness from his family who he has hurt so badly by playing dead for several years, and is anxious to make amends. In a recent GH episode, he and his “wife” Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) had gone to GH to track down Nikolas’ mother, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) who was standing at one of the Nurses’ stations with her husband, Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom).

Ava wanted to invite Laura and Kevin to dinner at their home, Wyndemere Castle, but Laura was too busy to accept – and the release of Cyrus Renault was mentioned by District Attorney Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) who had given them an update. Ava realized it was a bad night for Laura, as the mayor of Port Charles, and pulled Nikolas away and told him Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) had told her about Renault’s release, and Nikolas became worried about his mother.

Ava, rather sarcastically, had told him she was surprised to learn that he had a heart, after all. Ava had wanted to talk to Laura about it but Nikolas told her that Laura wouldn’t want to hear anything from her. Nikolas then approached Kevin with his concerns for Laura and wanted them to back down on Cyrus, concerned that it would only make things worse and endanger his mother further since she had been shot in the first round of Renault-related attacks on Sonny and his family. Kevin refused to ask Laura to back down from her duties, and told Nikolas he loved and supported Laura and that it was called mutual respect, and Nikolas should try it sometime!

GH Spoilers – Nikolas Cassadine Approaches Sonny Corinthos About Helping Take Down Cyrus Renault

Nikolas decides to talk to Sonny about taking Renault down and wanting to help. He, of course, doesn’t know that Sonny and Jason are already involved in a plan, along with Laura’s knowledge, to do exactly that. Nikolas reminds him that he has dealt with these kinds of people before, mentioning Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) who also was a drug lord and he knew how to handle them without endangering himself.

Sonny hasn’t had a chance to really talk to Nikolas since he resurfaced, and of course, first, he gives him a good dressing down about Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas J. Bechtel) and not having kept him in the loop about his being alive but in hiding, and his mother and his sister Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) as well! Sonny was there – he knew what they went through grieving Nikolas and having no closure because nobody had ever been found!

Nikolas tells him that is exactly the reason that he wants to be a part of taking down Renault and making sure he is never a danger to his family, Sonny’s family, or anyone else in Port Charles again! He wants to make up for the grief he caused by doing something good and something that will potentially save their lives! Nikolas is very insistent, and the two men get into an argument as Sonny knows just because Nikolas has Cassadine blood in him it doesn’t make him a superhero!

Finally, Sonny gets through to Nikolas about the danger to himself and letting the “professionals” – namely himself and Jason, handle it when he asks how Spencer would feel if Nikolas were to be killed for real, without having made up with him and forgiven him for playing dead, and now never having had a chance! Nikolas finally agrees to let them handle the takedown but he wants assurance his mother and sister will be protected, and Sonny does give him that reassurance – after all he has been friends with Laura since before Nikolas ever came over from Greece!
