General Hospital Spoilers: Nina’s Vendetta Against Carly Gets Michael In Trouble, Too — How Will Sonny React?

General Hospital Spoilers hint Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is about to start spiraling out of control as she ends up with entirely too much free time on her hands. When Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) told Nina they would have to take some time apart while he makes sure his environment is going to remain safe for her to be in, she wasn’t pleased to hear this news. Nina never expected she would need protection from Sonny’s life in this way.

She wanted to stay out of his criminal enterprise, and for some reason in her mind, that would also convey to her lifestyle. She didn’t think this was going to impact her. Now that it is, it’s leaving her feeling rather unnerved by how close Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is to Sonny’s dark side. To Nina, it’ll look like the only way out is to take Carly out of the equation. It’s too bad she won’t be able to take Carly down without taking Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) down, too.

General Hospital Spoilers — Nina Reeves Can’t Stand Carly Spencer Cozying Up To Sonny Corinthos

Nina wasn’t able to make it through one day with this new safe space, arm’s length relationship status in place before she was trucking it over to Sonny’s penthouse to tell him she wasn’t comfortable with it. When she arrived, she found Carly there speaking privately with Sonny, and with tears in her eyes. Clearly, Carly was in the know when Nina wasn’t — yet again. Nina is holding all the power; she’s just been holding back on using it. She doesn’t necessarily want to cause Sonny’s family any harm, but if this is the only way she can extract Carly from Sonny’s life, she doesn’t want to regret passing up the chance to permanently remove Carly from her orbit. Sonny has repeatedly asked Nina to lay low and keep the peace, but she’s tired of being the bigger person. When she feels like she’s losing Sonny anyway, she won’t have a very good reason to keep quiet about Carly’s insider trading problem anymore.

General Hospital Spoilers — It All Blows Back On Michael Corinthos, Too

Nina was worried that turning Carly in could also land Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) in hot water, but ultimately, it won’t. When the SEC initially turns in their direction, the happy couple will make it abundantly clear that they were not romantically involved at the time of the ELQ and Aurora Media merger which didn’t happen.

Fortunately for Drew, the SEC is going to accept that explanation. Unfortunately for everyone involved, they’re going to turn their attention to the next closest person who could’ve looped Carly in on it — Michael. We can expect that Sonny will have Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) on the case right away trying to determine who turned Carly in. When he learns it was Nina, will he ever be able to forgive her?
