General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Grows Suspicious of Ava When She Points Her Finger at Pilar

General Hospital spoilers reveal Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) have been getting along swimmingly for the last couple of years. Perhaps his relationship with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has had something to do with that. In addition, Ava and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) really had to work together for Avery Corinthos’ (Grace Scarola) benefit when they thought Sonny had died. The whole family came together at that time. Since then, no one has screwed up badly enough to ruin their newfound unity.

However, that time may be coming. Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) has put the idea in Ava‘s head that Sonny’s household nanny, Pilar Juárez (Brenda Barberena), needs to be fired. It’s no sweat off of Ava’s back if she never sees Pilar again, which is unfortunate, because Avery loves her nanny. The only way Austin and Ava are going to get someone into Sonny’s penthouse to snoop around his home office is if they can replace PIlar with their own faux nanny. That’ll be easier said than done. When Ava tells Sonny that she thinks Pilar has overstayed her welcome in the family, he’s not going to agree with her.

Pilar has been with the Corinthos family for five years now. She watched Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) grow into an adult. She has fostered the relationship between Ava and Avery, even while Sonny has maintained primary custody. What reason could Ava possibly have to dislike her?

Obviously, whatever she offers up to Sonny is going to be chocked full of lies. Pilar cared for baby Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) after her surgery for spina bifida as just a newborn. She’s been a trustworthy member of the family, and that’s not easy to replace.

GH Spoilers – Hint Sonny And Carly Spencer Are On The Same Side

Ava’s motives may not be transparent, but that doesn’t mean Sonny isn’t going to see right through her and know she’s up to something — as will Carly. Ava’s suggestion to hire a new nanny won’t make any sense as Avery has never once complained about Pilar to any of them.

Will she stoop so low as to manipulate her own little girl into saying something foul about her nanny? Is she going to try to convince Avery that Pilar is no good or somehow acted against her? We can’t wait to see. Regardless, expect Sonny and Carly to come out on the same side of us – as usual.

Sonny isn’t going to walk away from this conversation and never think about it again. Rather, Ava is only going to be tipping him off that she’s up to something. It appears that Austin really doesn’t know the mobster all that well. It shows.

He should’ve deferred to Ava, who has much more expertise in this area. Replacing the trusted family nanny is no small feat. Ava will not leave Sonny questioning whether he can trust Pilar.
