General Hospital Star James Patrick Stuart Shares Sad News With His Fans

General Hospital star James Patrick Stuart has just shared some devastating news with the daytime television community. The actor, who plays Valentin Cassadine on the hit ABC show, revealed that his good friend Glenn Roven has just passed away.

Although there aren’t many details available about his sudden death, the actor says that Glenn Roven was a good friend and talented musician that he will miss incredibly. “He taught me to love opera and poetry and I have performed in many of his shows,” Stuart said.

Stuart also shared a heartwarming story of Roven’s selfless character. The two had a close friendship. He added, “When I asked him to write the cello solo for my cover of ‘Book of Love,’ he was in the middle of the final rehearsal of his most recent symphony. He wrote it anyway. I loved him. He passed away suddenly today… and I don’t know what to do.”

Many of Stuart’s social media followers expressed their condolences on Twitter. Stuart also wrote, “I am devastated as is everyone who knew him. He had so much more to do. No words…”

Our thoughts and prayers go out to James Patrick Stuart and Glenn Roven’s family during this difficult time. Stuart hasn’t mentioned if he will be taking some time off from work or if he will continue filming episodes as scheduled. As far as what’s next for Valentin, it looks like he will continue to fight for Nina (Michelle Stafford).
