When Calls The Heart: Erin Krakow To Appear On Hallmark Channel Home & Family

Fans of Hallmark’s “Home & Family” will see a familiar face visit the show on Wednesday, May 5. “When Calls The Heart” star Erin Krakow will join Debbie Matenopoulus and Cameron Mathison in the upcoming episode.

Viewers will also see Chef Pati Janich prepare a scrumptious dish for Cinco de Mayo while Tamera Mowry-Housley creates mommy & my headbands. Other episode highlights include Lawrence Zarian’s fashion collection, Kym Douglas’s DIY bubble bath, and Shirley Bovshow’s grocery store bouquets.

When Calls The Heart – Home & Family’s Final Season

“Home & Family” is currently on its ninth and final season. Back in March 2021, it was announced that the show will no longer be renewed.

The show was formerly known as “The Home and Family Show,” which premiered back in 1996 on “The Family Channel.” The show wrapped up after 2 years on air until it was revived in 2012. The show’s last episode will air on August 4.

No specific reason was given officially as to why the show has been canceled. But the source said, “for nearly a decade, the show has anchored [Hallmark’s] daytime lineup”, so perhaps the time had come for a change…”

Back in When Calls The Heart, Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow) may no longer need to choose between Lucas Bouchard (Chris MacNally) and Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) since the former has decided to let her go. As seen in the 11th episode, Lucas has seen Elizabeth grow closer to Nathan. As the two spend more time together, Lucas has noticed how Elizabeth has been giving him the cold shoulder. So, he decided to drop by her home late at night and let her know how he felt.

Elizabeth, you’ve always maintained that love is worth fighting for. And that includes when it needs defending. … I appreciate your telling me that you took Nathan aside to assure him that he wasn’t to blame for Jack’s death,” Lucas said.
