Other challenges that prevented their alter egos from having a baby involved the children’s naps and meltdowns. The actors remained hopeful that their characters would soon have a baby of their own and they were excited for that time to happen.

When Calls The Heart is scheduled to return for season 9 on Sunday, March 6. In an interview with ET, Hutton and Smith answered questions about their characters finally starting a family.

Smith teased something that will surely get fans riled up.

“I think that after this season, fans will not need to ask that question anymore, one way or the other,” he teased.

“I think we have finally found a way to resolve anybody belaboring that question. I think we’re going to address it,” he continued.

Hutton said that she understands what Hearties wants since she’s active on social media. She knows viewers want Rosemary to become a mother. The actress even teased that it’s all she’s been hearing about for the past seasons.

Smith credited Hutton for making this possible. He said that fans have wanted to have this storyline for so long. He admitted that they both feel strongly that they had to address this issue once and for all.

In season 9, this concern will finally be addressed and it’s all because of Hutton, Smith said. He said Hutton had no plans of letting it go and wanted to get an answer once and for all. Thanks to her tenacity, they will finally get the answer.
