When Hope Calls Season 2 Happening, But Not On Hallmark

Hearties who have waited a long time for When Hope Calls Season 2 finally have their wish. It has been renewed! Moreover, it will premiere right before Christmas with a two-part movie called When Hope Calls: A Country Christmas.

However, according to Deadline, it is not returning to the Hallmark Channel. Instead, it will be on GAC Family. This is the brand new channel that was launched by former Hallmark CEO Bill Abbott.

In addition, the executive producers are all back, including Brad Krevoy, Brian Bird, Michael Landon, Jr., Alfonso H. Moreno, Kaitlyn Greenough, and David Anselmo. Alfonso H. Moreno created this WCTH spinoff.

Moreover, former WCTH star, Lori Loughlin, will star in the upcoming Christmas movies. Already confirmed to return are Morgan Kohan, as Lillian Walsh, and RJ Hatanaka as Constable Gabriel “Gabe” Kinslow. Carter Ryan Evancic will reprise his role as Cody Stanton.

They are beginning to film the Christmas movies in Canada this week.

What Is When Hope Calls – A Country Christmas About?

According to the official GAC Family press release, the first movie, In When Hope Calls: A Country Christmas, Part 1, Brookfield hosts a Christmas festival as one of three contenders in Harper’s Bazaar’s search for America’s #1 Country Christmas Town.

The entire town is preoccupied with creating the essence of Christmas for the photojournalist’s lens, though, behind the scenes, residents are not living the spirit of the season. In the midst of the fuss, a stagecoach appears, and out steps Abigail Stanton and her son, Cody (Carter Ryan), who have brought a troubled boy to Lillian’s (Kohan) orphanage.

This First Part Airs On Saturday, December 18, On GAC At 8 P.m. Eastern.

Next, In When Hope Calls: A Country Christmas, Part 2, photojournalist Paul Franklin is wrapping his stay in Brookfield. By now, he blends in as the town prepares for Christmas Eve.

Lillian, the orphans, and Gabriel (Hatanaka) are running out of options to restore the troubled boy’s hope for better times. Just when all seems lost, a secret Santa appears to fulfill all holiday wishes, and Abigail has a profound conversation with a dear friend from the past. Meanwhile, Paul’s lens is recording every miraculous moment.

When Will Remaining Episode Of When Calls The Heart Spinoff Air?

When should Hearties expect to see the remaining episodes of When Hope Calls? Currently, GAC Family has not issued an official statement on a timeline. Nor have they officially announced the full cast.

However, this is a huge coup for the new network, and could easily be a gamechanger. Hearties have long asked for the second season. They have it now, where they never expected anything.
