Neighbours Spoilers: Amy Angered And Shocked By Gary’s Surprise Wedding Plan

The Gary, Amy, Kyle love triangle will come to a head in next weeks episodes, as Amy has a huge decision to make about her future.

After weeks of angst, Kyle Canning (Chris Milligan) finally confesses the real reason that he returned to Erinsborough next week, admitting that he is still in love with Amy Williams (Zoe Cramond).

After Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly) bitterly makes Gary Canning (Damien Richardson) aware of his son’s feelings for his fiancé he decides he must do something as quickly as possible to secure his future with Amy.

He therefore decides to bring their wedding date forward behind her back, disguising it as a ‘surprise’ – though his intentions aren’t exactly pure. Amy’s birthday is coming up and Gary has already been organizing a huge party for her, which he now sees as the perfect occasion to turn into a surprise wedding instead!

Kyle is understandably struggling with the thought of attending, initially deciding to keep his distance, admitting to Sheila Canning (Colette Mann) that thinking about Amy marrying anyone – not least his father – kills him.

However, Kyle soon changes his mind and turns up to the event, pulling Amy away for a private word. But before Kyle can even say anything Gary catches him and suddenly announces to everyone that this isn’t just a party for Amy, it’s a wedding!

As expected, Gary’s announcement angers Amy, who is mortified that he would do such a thing. She therefore stops the event right away, making it clear that Gary was in the wrong.

While Gary feels sorry for himself Kyle seizes the opportunity to reveal his true feelings for Amy. Though she doesn’t return his words, she also doesn’t reject him, leaving Kyle with the hope that he genuinely has a chance.

Amy is overwhelmed by the day’s events, so decides to take her son Jimmy – who came home for her birthday – away for the weekend to try and clear her head.
