Neighbours spoilers and updates reveal from the moment Brent sets foot back in Erinsborough, Paul has made it very clear that he doesn’t want him anywhere near his granddaughter, Harlow. The two continued to see each other anyway, but Paul finally gets the upper hand when Brent gets arrested.

As it was Paul who ensures that Brent is arrested for the robbery at The Hive, everyone is surprised when he shows compassion to Brent by hiring Toadie to represent him as his lawyer. But what people don’t know is that hiring Brent a lawyer is actually part of a secret deal Paul made with Brent and Emmett’s mother, Jenna.

Jenna is worried about moving Emmett to New Zealand while Brent is in trouble with the law, but with Brent getting legal representation, she feels more confident about his welfare and is comfortable moving away. So really, Paul’s only bothered about giving Emmett a better future by moving to New Zealand with his family, rather than caring about Brent. Brent doesn’t know the truth of the situation and so is very grateful to Paul, regardless of their history. But he shouldn’t be – as Paul is about to step his divisive up a level.

Neighbours Spoilers – Relationship Over For Good

He wants Harlow and Brent’s relationship to be over for good, and Paul knows the only way to do that is if he ensures Brent is sent to jail. For that reason, Paul visits gang leader Holden in prison and blackmails him to paint Brent as the mastermind behind the robbery. If Holden doesn’t agree to tell the authorities that Brent is the gang leader, Paul promises that there will be huge consequences. But upon agreeing, Paul promises to set up a large financial trust for Holden, so he can have a nice life once he’s out of jail.

When Harlow learns that Holden has changed his story she is devastated and turns to Paul for comfort. Paul is suddenly racked with guilt and wants to make things better, but he knows he can’t tell her the truth. So, what will he do instead?
