Neighbours Spoilers: Sonya Rebecchi Death Confirmed

Neighbours spoilers have officially released the name of the Ramsay Street resident dying in March, and fans are not going to be happy.

Just before the new year, rumours of two shocking deaths were doing the rounds in the Neighbours fan base. The number one guess at who dies was Sonya Rebecchi and, as usual, Neighbours fans got it right!

The exit of Eve Morey – who has played her onscreen ego of Sonya for ten years now – was first hinted at via co-star Sharon Johal’s (Dipi Rebecchi’s) social media. The cast and crew were at a party in honour of Eve in December. Fans immediately presumed it was her leaving party, but Sharon soon stated it was Eve’s birthday party – although her birthday is in June.

Coupled with this, the actors who portray Sonya’s sister and son were spotted back on set, along with Lucas and Vanessa, two of her closest friends. Fans put two and two together and once again correctly made four!

Neighbours Spoilers – Sonya’s Death Confirmed

The death of Sonya has been confirmed by Neighbours officials via Australian TV magazine Soap World. The magazine revealed that Sonya will collapse and be rushed to hospital where she receives some distressing news about the status of her health. This is all we know for now, but more details will be released closer to the time.

What we do know is that over the last few months evil nanny Alice Wells was secretly poisoning Sonya through her cooking with prescription medication. Then to top that off, she poisoned her with lethal poison, leaving her in the bush to die.

Sonya has been complaining of stomach ache lately, which Dr Karl puts down to the poison, but it seems that it has much longer and serious effects than originally thought!

Fans will be sad to see Sonya go, who has been centre of some explosive story lines, including the “Fake Dee” drama and quite literally her explosive wedding to Toadie!
