He seeks comfort in his friend Toadie Rebecchi, (Ryan Moloney) who suggests that he tries online dating, as it seems to work for a lot of people. Gary agrees that he might as well give it a go. He, therefore, downloads Tinder and is shocked when he finds a match right away. After talking a little bit, the woman he matched with agrees to a date, and Gary is over the moon.
He is happy to finally get to know someone who doesn’t have a connection with Paul – Terese was his ex and Amy was his daughter. However, what he doesn’t actually know is that Gail, the woman he is on the date with, is actually Paul’s ex-wife!
Things are about to get awkward – will Gary ever escape Paul?
Fiona Corke returns to play the role of Gail for the first time in 12 years. She was a regular on Neighbours from 1987 to 1989, marrying Paul and giving birth to their daughter Elle. Gail will return to screens next week, on Wednesday 21st August, when she comes to bond with newfound granddaughter, Harlow Robinson.
