Melania Trump Reveals If Her Son Barron Is On the Autism Spectrum

Melania Trump has a new book out and in it she addresses several controversies head on. One of them has to do with her son, 18-year old Barron, the only child of Melania and Donald Trump. Here’s what to know about the enigmatic teen who has captured the world’s attention.

It has been speculated that Barron might be on the autism spectrum. He is in his first year of college at NYU and living at home with his mom, a former supermodel.

In her new book the former First Lady addressed her son’s life, which became public when Donald Trump was elected US President in 2016.

When Barron was 10-years old, a tweet by former talk show hostess Rosie O’Donnell seemed to suggest that that the youth was autistic.

According to Melania, he was bullied afterward and she accused Rosie of “malice.” As the Daily Mail notes, there was one good thing to come out of the experience and that was Melania’s “child-centric Be Best initiative on childhood welfare and online bullying.”

In an excerpt from her book, Melania writes that Barron suffered “irreparable damage” due to Rosie’s words and “No apology can undo the harm inflicted upon him.”

In her book Melania states that “There is nothing shameful about autism (though O’Donnell’s tweet implied that there was), but Barron is not autistic.”

Barron and his mother are very close, and he ran to her after hearing that Donald was the victim of an attempted assassination in July. Melania was watching the event unfold live on TV and reportedly still cannot talk about the trauma.

Barron Trump – Is Close To Melania Trump

This weekend Donald Trump returned to Butler, Pennsylvania, the site of the July assassination attempt. He is running for a second term as US President and was recently the victim of another attempted assassination.

Barron was due to campaign for his father this spring but after word got out his mother corrected the narrative. Barron was to be a Florida delegate at the RNC in Wisconsin, a role later nixed by Melania’s office.
