Fans of the ‘Golden Bachelor’ are currently feeling like they’ve been taken for a ride when their favorite couple Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist announced their split. I mean was the honeymoon even over before they were slamming themselves with divorce papers?

However betrayed you may feel, Theresa Nist wants you to know that no one has it all figured out, no matter the age you are. Well that’s a bummer, I’ve always been looking forward to being old so I can figure out this thing called life.

And for that reason, they just can’t understand why two people who met and fell in love in a television show can’t last forever… Even though, strictly speaking, forever is no longer such a long time for them.

“To everyone who has expressed love, support and kindness to me I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are all such wonderful human beings,” she began in a lengthy Instagram post. “It means the world to me that you took the time to reach out to me, whether in person, on the phone, by text or by direct message.”

The compliance officer continued, “For everyone else who is confused and angry and who does not understand, please try to find it in your heart to understand and to try a little kindness. Not just for me but for the world and for everyone you encounter.”

However sour the result of being in ‘Golden Bachelor’ turned out to be, Nist is far from regretting her experiences there.

Nist called being on the reality show “one of the most incredible experiences of my life, something I never expected to happen at this point in my life and I truly thought it was going to last forever. It turns out, even at the age of 70, you don’t know everything.”

Their shortlived marriage broke the record for the fastest-ever Bachelor franchise divorce. So that’s something I guess.
