Joe Alwyn’s Reaction To Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department” Revealed

Joe Alwyn may just be Taylor Swift‘s most private relationship to date. Even when they broke up fans were hopelessly blind trying to piece together what went wrong in what appeared to be, by all accounts, a very happy and healthy relationship for the global superstar.

In fact, Joe Alwyn was also Taylor’s longest relationship. So when news surfaced that they’d broken up as she embarked on her Eras tour, fans naturally opposed this, calling said source or sources liars.

At the time, many swifties stood their ground, insisting that absolutely nothing has gone wrong with their favorite couple. But alas, it has.

And while Taylor’s romance with The Chief’s quarterback Travis Kelce is blossoming beautifully, fans can’t help but wonder what went wrong between her and Joe. We may never know, but Joe’s reportedly happy he’s removed himself from that narrative.

Yes, he has his song “So Long London,” and then there’s references to their breakup in some other songs, but fans have since found that it’s more a Matty Healy record than it is a Joe Alwyn one.

However, prior to the release of the album, a Joe Alwyn source had shared their thoughts on what was then thought was going to be a diss album on Joe with the Daily Mail.

“Joe has not said one word about Taylor or their breakup and has been completely respectful of her,” the insider said. “It’s undeniable that the name of her upcoming album is in reference to Joe’s WhatsApp group chat. Taylor knocked him for the name of this when they were together.”

The source added: “She didn’t want people to think that it had anything to do with her, so when he spoke out about it, she was, of course, bothered. Joe has no reason to believe yet that she is going to dis him or their relationship. She writes about her past using code and points of reference. It may just be that she is reflecting on their time together and he is hoping it is nothing more.”

One of the things that made Swifties fall deeply for Joe was that he was often credited on Taylor’s songs as a songwriter, though under a different name. So now that it’s over, a source believes coming for him in her first record since the breakup “is shady.”

“If it is a diss album, that is shady. He helped her with songwriting on her past album so it will really come as a shock to him if she talks about their breakup, as it is something he has not spoken of at all. Regardless of what she does, he will still not respond because he has removed himself from her narrative and is very glad he did.”
