Honey Boo Boo Asks Fans To Pay $25 For Meetup Amid Debating Weight Loss Surgery!

Honey Boo Boo (Alana Thompson) knows that her fans from her “Toddlers And Tiaras” beauty pageant days still think of her as that little girl. But Alana, 16, has come a long way since strutting like a real-life Barbie doll. For instance, Thompson recently found someone who she hopes will remain her true love, 20-year-old Dralin Carswell.

However, amid the joys of romance, Honey Boo Boo worries about her family’s money troubles. As a result, Alana turned to fans for help. Honey Boo Boo Hopes Fans Will Give Her Money For Meetup! 

How much would you pay to meet a celebrity? Honey Boo Boo feels that fans should shell out at least $25 for the honor, reported the Sun. As a result, Alana seeks $25 for each meet-and-greet session. But Thompson reportedly wants the money to help her sister Lauryn (Pumpkin) Efird.

And at just 22-years-old, Pumpkin faces challenges. First, Lauryn has full custody of Honey Boo Boo. And second, she is raising twins less than two months old, a one-year-old son, and a daughter Ella, age four. To the rescue: 16-year-old Alana! Honey Boo Boo scheduled the meet-and-greet in August. Held in Atlanta, Georgia, the event features Alana, Lauryn, their mother Mama June, Lauryn’s husband Josh, Ella, and Alana’s boyfriend Dralin Carswell.

Turning to Instagram to hype the meet-and-greet, Honey Boo Boo shared, “The family will be signing autographs and taking photos with fans. Merch will be available for sale. OK Everyone….We have officially kicked off our Summer Tour to meet our fans in a city near you!!” But an insider shared a darker side of the event.

And the source alleged, “Pumpkin told June she didn’t have any groceries in the house, and she told Pumpkin, ‘Well you better get on TikTok and make some d*** n money.’ Why would a mother even say something like that?!” Lauryn also tried to get financial help by sharing her Amazon Wish List on TikTok and Instagram. It listed items she hoped fans would purchase for her.

But the controversy surrounding Mama June’s family doesn’t end with Lauryn. And Honey Boo Boo seems to have started her own debate. It all began when rumors swirled that the 16-year-old wanted weight loss surgery. But a new report claims that Alana doesn’t feel positive.

Because initial reports claimed Honey Boo Boo scheduled a suture sculpt endoscopic sleeve in August with weight-loss doctor Steven Batash, she now has decided to speak out, per People. But the price tag of $13,000 for the weight-loss surgery remains “in the works,” added Alana. “I just wanna make sure that this is actually something I wanna do before I just go and do it,” explained Thompson. And she confessed, “I wanna make sure that it’s, like, not something that’s, like, gonna kill me.”

However, at 16, Honey Boo Boo does recognize she needs to lose weight. And she shared her goal of 145 pounds with the help of surgery. “I know for a fact I could get in the gym and I know for a fact I could diet and I know for a fact I can do this to lose my weight,” admitted Alana. “I’ve tried. I will say I’ve tried, but the one thing with me is I have no motivation.”

But Honey Boo Boo did not discuss the reality of what happens after surgery. And though she admitted she feels “no motivation” to work out, she added, “I have no motivation to keep eating healthy. Because, like, I’m gonna eat what I think is good. I’m not [gonna] sit there and force myself to eat no Caesar salad because I think it’s healthy. No. I’m gonna eat what I think’s good. So, I just think I don’t have motivation, and I feel like the surgery would be, like, probably the easiest way to just, like, lose it fast.”

However, a suture sculpt endoscopic sleeve would sew up her stomach to shrink its size by as much as 70 to 80 percent. As a result, Honey Boo Boo would indeed lose weight by limiting how much she could eat. But experts warn that patients must make a commitment to regular diet and exercise to keep off the pounds.
