Honey Boo Boo Graduates High School, Mama June Cheers

Alana Thompson, known as Honey Boo Boo on TLC’s Toddlers & Tiaras and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, just graduated high school. And the 17-year-old turned to TikTok to share her feelings. However, Alana also received cheers from several members of her family.

Alana Thompson – Graduates High School

The star of TLC’s Toddlers & Tiaras and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo celebrated her graduation from Wilkinson County High School in McIntyre, Georgia on social media. And the reality TV star (real name: Alana Thompson) proudly posted a video of herself in her yellow cap and gown at the commencement ceremony on TikTok. But at 17, Alana made her self-esteem clear in her TikTok video caption via E News.

“Proved the haters wrong,” wrote the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star in her caption. “Next stop graduating college! #honeybooboo #fyp #2023 #trending #senior #graduation.” And Alana’s mother Mama June Shannon joined her in turning to social media to celebrate.

In addition to Mama June, Honey Boo Boo’s sisters Lauryn Pumpkin Shannon, 23, and Anna Chickadee Cardwell, 28, supported the teenager. And Mama June posted pics and videos from her daughter’s graduation on both TikTok and Instagram. For instance, one pic showed Alana with her sisters and a clip revealed the family cheering for Honey Boo Boo.

Alana’s mother admitted, “Yes we was hollering the whole time.” And another post showed June recalling how the family overcame challenges. “I know we have been through ALOT,” admitted Honey Boo Boo’s mother. “And I know the road hasn’t been a easy one for you for one. But girl u done it,” wrote June. 

And she added, “I’m so very proud of you. You never gave up even when there was times we all know u was over getting up early n going to school.” But June pointed out that “even what we have been through in the last few years, u never quit or gave up. And I’m so very proud of YOU for that. I love you so much.”

And Lauryn also turned to Instagram to celebrate her sister. “To say I’m proud would be an understatement. To be there a witness this next chapter I’m amazed. Amazed at how much you’ve grown, how beautiful your soul is, & most importantly how far you’ve & most importantly how far you’ve come against all odds. To hear your name be called & to watch you walk…”

And Alana’s sister described herself as “honored” to view the teenager graduate. But she also looked forward to the future. “I cant wait to see what this next chapter in your life holds. Please always know I’m your biggest fan & always & forever gonna be screaming the loudest for you. I love you.” 

Honey Boo Boo has shared what she wished she knew when she started high school. “Don’t play around! Get to work! You got too many people counting on your and too much money to make!” But Alana also revealed her favorite high school memory. “Running through the halls trying not to get caught skipping and hanging out with all my friends,” she shared. “I’m gonna miss high school a little bit.”
