Jill Duggar Gets Shaded By ‘Counting On’ Brother!

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar persuaded viewers that their 19 Kids And Counting clan always supported each other. But then the news broke that the couple’s oldest son, Josh Duggar, had molested several underage girls including some of his own sisters. However, Jim Bob and Michelle still tried to keep the pretense of a perfect family in the 19 Kids spin-off, Counting On.

But in the wake of Prime Video’s documentary series Shiny Happy People exposing the Duggar family’s darkest secrets, the family increasingly has become divided. And that divide became evident when Jill Duggar seemed to get shaded by her own brother. Get the details below.

Jill Duggar – Gets Shaded By Brother

Don’t count on the Counting On clan for always sticking together. Because only some Duggar family members appeared in the Prime Video series “Shine Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets,” the Counting On clan reportedly has divided between those staying loyal to patriarch Jim Bob and matriarch Michelle and those defying them. And that division showed when one of Jill’s brothers threw shade at her, noted Yahoo.

Jill Duggar

Jill made the decision to participate in the documentary series, helping to expose her family’s secrets. But her brother James Duggar apparently chose to support their parents. As a result, James threw shade at his sister Jill in his Father’s Day post. “Happy Father’s Day to the man who has always been my biggest supporter,” wrote the 21-year-old on Instagram. “I am grateful to call you my dad, and I’m proud to be your child.” But then the 19 Kids & Counting alum threw shade at Jill by adding, “regardless of what anyone may say, you’re the best dad in the world.”

James’ remark seemed to reflect on Jill’s criticism of their father in the Prime Video documentary “Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets.” The series explores both the Duggar family and their religion, the Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP). And in addition to Jill, her husband Derick Dillard and their cousin Amy King participated in the documentary. James appeared to feel upset at his sister for exposing how their father controlled the siblings.

Jill Duggar – Criticized Her Father In Documentary

The documentary reveals Jill’s anger about her father’s high level of control over his children. And she complained that Jim Bob “tricked” her into agreeing to a TLC contract. “My dad does control a lot of things in the family,” said Jill. “Family relationships were already kinda rocky. Everything within the family dynamic has shifted,” she added. “And not for the better.” And her husband revealed that the couple has become “very much on the outside with the family.”

Michelle and Jim Bob issued a statement about the relationship trouble within their family. They blamed the “media and those with ill intentions [for] hurting people we love. This ‘documentary’ paints so much and so many in a derogatory and sensationalized way,” they added. “Because sadly that’s the direction of entertainment these days. Through both the triumphs and the trials we have clung to our faith all the more.”
