Kendra Duggar Faces Long Wait Until Next Court Appearance

It’s been a while since Kendra Duggar, the Counting On alum was arrested and TLC fans might wonder why things seem rather quiet on the legal front since then. Of course, her husband, Joseph Duggar faces more charges that she does, but as the case involves children, people seem keen to follow the proceedings.

A Previous Court Hearing

If you don’t know, Kendra Duggar did have a court hearing set for April 29. However, you wouldnt have seen any photos of her entering the premises in the Elm Springs District Court. Thats because her lawyer, Travis Story entered a not guilty plea on her behalf.

NWA Online reported that Joseph was included in his plea relating to the local charges. Remember, his charges from Florida involved a different accusation of indecent behavior with a then nine-year-old girl. And it should be noted that at this stage, it doesnt seem as if Kendra was involved in that.

When Is The Next Court Appearance?

The judge set a court date for August 10. So, updates on the legal process might seem slow to arrive for a while. However, once things get really started, no doubt Counting On and 19 Kids and Counting fans will eagerly follow the proceedings.

Many TLC fans feel a bit sorry for Kendra Duggar, and they seemed rather sad when the news arrived that she struggles with poor mental health. However, she faces an uphill battle with many other people because she married into a family known for practicing things like blanket training.

Naturally, with her brother-in -, Josh Duggar already serving time for CSAM offences, the focus on the family became extremely condemnatory.

Bad News Breeds More Speculation

Then there was the incident with Jana Duggar who faced a citation for endangering a child. That didn’t end up in a mug shot and time behind bars because it seemed accidental. Still, fans of the show speculate strongly that theres something not right going on in the large “Quiverful” clan.

Of course, the case is not about that. The Tontitown case arose after Josephs arrest. Official’s discovered that the kids were allegedly housed in a situation with illegally locked doors to prevent easy egress.

The Charges

Near the end of March, we reported that US Weekly explained the charges. They include “four counts of False Imprisonment” and “four counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.”

While the culture of the Duggar Family centres around women obeying and living to serve their men, that wont cut it in court. At least, not if  the arrangements were ordered and enforced by Joseph Duggar. That’s because the Tontitown statues seem extra sticky on safety in case of fire.
