Too much ink? The premiere for Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) season 13 turned the spotlight on Kyle Richards’ troubled relationship with her estranged husband Mauricio Umansky. And the 54-year-old RHOBH star sparked an argument when she informed Mauricio, 53, that she had added two more tattoos to her body. Kyle now boasts five tattoos total, according to Us.

But Mauricio seemed troubled, even seeming to doubt his wife. And he asked, “Seriously? I only knew of three.” But Kyle threw shade in return, stating, “Well maybe you should be looking at my body closer.”

And Umansky told his wife that she didn’t need any more tattoos. But Kyle argued with him, especially when he stated, “I will not allow that.” And Richards reacted, “You didn’t even know how many I had. If I want one I’m going to get one. It’s my body.”

However, though Mauricio tried to stop Kyle from getting another tattoo, she told him that he doesn’t get to choose. And she stated, “I’m at a point in my life where I don’t have to explain anything to anybody anymore. Including you. I went from doing everything my mom told me to do to being a mom myself and having to be a good example to my girls. And I just realized you can do all that and things can still go to s—t.”

In July, the news broke that Kyle and Mauricio separated after 27 years of marriage. But the two discounted divorce rumors. However, they did admit to a “rough patch” in their relationship.

Meanwhile, Kyle has sparked rumors about more than a friendship with country singer Morgan Wade. But the two claim that they remain only friends.

As for Richards’ relationship with Mauricio, he shared, “We’re in the middle of dealing with our life and our marriage. And we have not thrown in the towel. It’s hard in the public eye and it’s hard while everybody’s asking,” he added. 

“Because the reality is that when a couple’s going through the times that we’re going through right now, what you need is time,” pointed out Mauricio. This season of RHOBH will show more about their marriage problems. And on the premiere, Kyle shared that the two faced “a challenging year together.”

But Richards also revealed that she feels this time of her life seems “painful” because of her disconnection with her husband. And she called the tattoo argument “a big symptom of not spending time together. Years ago he would have noticed a freckle on body and now he doesn’t know that I have two more tattoos.”

Meanwhile, Kyle confessed on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that she felt shocked and “taken aback” by pics that went viral showing Mauricio holding hands with his Dancing with the Stars partner Emma Slater. And the RHOBH star described it as “very hard to see. That hurt my feelings,” Richards added via People.

But Kyle added that she still loves her estranged husband. “And we are amicable,” insisted the RHOBH star. “But that really did hurt me.” However, Kyle had previously turned to social media to share her support for Mauricio on Dancing With The Star.

But after viewing the pics of her estranged husband with Emma, Kyle felt stunned and upset. And the RHOBH star confessed to deliberately deleting those supportive social media posts amid reacting.
