Sandy Yawn Gets Happy Marriage Shout Out From Leah

Leah Shafer and Sandy Yawn from Below Deck Med on Bravo tied the knot in May last year after their 2023 engagement. Recently, on social media, Leah explained why their relationship works so well for them. Read on to find out more.

A Loving Marriage Is Special 

On Sunday, March 16, Leah took to her Instagram profile page and wrote a very long caption. It came when she shared two sweet photos of herself with the sometimes controversial Bravo star. In the caption, Leah noted, “OUR LOVE is raw, real, and undeniable.”

Next, she put folks right about their concept of same-sex relationships. She added, “It is not defined by gender but by the deep, unshakable connection between two souls who find home in each other.”

Further on in her explanation, Sandy Yawn’s wife also said, “Being in a same-sex couple is not about defying norms or making statements—it is about waking up next to the person who makes your heart feel safe, about building a life rooted in respect, passion, and unwavering support.”

Making A Relationship Work

Many more words arrived, and Below Deck Med fans heard about how two women in love really don’t differ from any other people if they love deeply. It’s the second time this month that Bravo fans heard about their happy union. On March 1, Leah shared about Sandy Yawn lovingly helping her blow dry her hair. 

Of course, Leah isn’t the first person close to a reality TV star who ever gave marriage advice and updates. For example, Sumit Singh from 90 Day Fiance spoke about his secret to love with Jenny Slatten. He likes to do things with her that “make her happy.” That way, he is “also happy.” It’s all about respect. and cherishing each other.

Time carried an oped about what makes a happy marriage, and it seems that Sandy Yawn and Leah hit most of the dots. The outlet cited writer Tara Parker-Pope, who noted, “[People] who want romance and passion from their marriage, end up getting that kind of marriage.”
