Sister Wives: Meri Brown Robbed In Broad Daylight

Sister Wives viewers have been watching the unraveling of the Brown Family on TLC every Sunday.  Just like fans expected, Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown are being raked through hot coals financially and dividing the family’s assets has turned in to a nightmare.  Meri Brown basically was just robbed in broad daylight on national television in front of millions of people.  And, there’s nothing anyone can do about it.  Keep reading for all the drama and next week’s Sister Wives spoilers.

Sister Wives Spoilers – The Coyote Pass War Rages On

Kody Brown, Robyn Brown, and his exes are currently trying to divide up their assets on Sister Wives and going to war over the land they purchased years ago in Coyote Pass.  There’s a total of 14 acres.  Kody announced that Christine Brown gave her share to him and Robyn.

Apparently, she traded it for the house in Flagstaff.  Of course, we all know that Christine’s house was bought with all of their money from Sister Wives so technically she owed Janelle and Meri too?  What a mess!

Sister Wives: Meri Brown Robbed In Broad Daylight

Regardless, Kody and Robyn now have the majority of the property.  Kody informed Meri that Janelle Brown is getting four acres and she is only getting two, since she only has one kid.

Basically, Kody Brown is being greedy and petty.  And, the sad thing is there’s literally nothing Meri can do about it.  She is not legally married to Kody anymore and the family clearly never put anything in writing.

Sister Wives Spoilers – Is Kody Brown Stealing From Meri

Somehow Christine Brown made out much better than Janelle and Meri, perhaps just because she was the first to leave and Kody didn’t expect to lose two more incomes after her.

Regardless, the money that the family spent on all of their homes and Coyote Pass property was money they made from TLC.

Meri filmed just as much, if not more than some of the other wives.  The number of kids she has is irrelevant, she earned that money fair and square just like the other wives.

Do you think what Kody is doing is wrong?  Since none of them were legally married to him, are Christine, Meri, and Janelle basically out of options?

I know that the money trail is a mess due to the way Kody managed it. But isn’t there more to it than just the land. Kody committed to take care of 4 wives. They all contributed to the pot. Take Meri, for example. She gave up her legal marriage to help him adopt Robyn’s kids. You can’t put a price on that, but she did make a sacrifice only to be treated like dirt now. Christine was a stay at home mom for a long time so the other wives could work and contribute to the family. And Janelle did work outside of the home, but somehow she is in financial trouble now. Kody is offended that they don’t respect his patriachy, but he doesn’t seem to understand his responsibility to these women. I don’t agree with polygamy, but he did make a commitment to all of them. It only makes sense that these women expected equal treatment, and should get equal shares of the land. Kody is behaving like a spoiled brat, because they aren’t doing everything his way. He is the one that decided to take so many wives, but when things got hard he all but abandoned them. In the eyes of the law Jannelle, Christine, and Meri should be looked at as people that went in together to buy some land and given equal shares when they choose to disolve their part of the agreement.

I believe you are correct, morally and legally. Kody has used and abused his position as “Head” of the family. He wanted all of the benefits and none of the work. Marriage in my world is a partnership and the raising of children and household operations are discussed and agreed upon. Kody basically inseminated his partners and allowed them to sort out the raising and funding of the household, rather like a male lion. At least a male lion will defend his pride….

All of Kody’s manipulation of these ladies were done publicly. Meri should get a lawyer and take him to court publicly. I bet the verbal manipulations of her legal divorce from Grodie to give everything to Robin will be duly noted as well as all the other manipulations to give Robin and Grodie the Lion’s shares of Coyote Pass. I’m sure a court of law would not look favorably on Sobin and Grodie.

Meri and Jannele should receive..what was promised when the property was purchased.
The number of children was irrelevant then as it is now.
Kody is just taking all his anger out on Meri because she is last to leave.
I don’t know that the ladies couldn’t sue for their property rights at Coyote Pass. A verbal contract of equal division was always discussed. It’s all on film at TLC. Any lawyer could show Kody is trying to hold onto their property out being hurt, petty.
But, this train of thought does not apply to any monies, etc
