Teen Mom Alum Kailyn Lowry Welcomes Twins Less Than A Year After 5th Baby

Baby bump rumors first soared last May for Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry. But the reality TV star held off on revealing her pregnancy.

And now, in the new episode of her podcast, Kailyn finally went into detail about her twins. Find out what the Teen Mom star shared, including how she canceled her C-section because the dates didn’t suit her and if she wants more children.

Teen Mom – Star Shares Birth Of Twins

At 31, Kailyn Lowry no longer qualifies as a teen. But the Teen Mom alum definitely knows how it feels to become a mom multiple times. And Kailyn just revealed that she secretly welcomed twins, per the Sun.

However, Lowry’s confession comes after months of rumors about a baby bump. And pics showed the Teen Mom alum looking pregnant amid heading out for errands. However, she delayed sharing the news about her new babies until now.

And Kailyn shared that she underwent a challenging C-section with a traumatic post-op period. The Teen Mom alum’s twin babies, a boy and a girl, arrived less than a year after her fifth son, Rio.

But on her podcast, the 31-year-old shared that she “ended up delivering at 35 weeks.” And in the episode with the twins’ father Elijah Scott, 25, Kailyn revealed that she had thought that the babies would arrive early.

Kailyn Lowry – Needed C-Section

However, the Teen Mom alum admitted that she canceled her C-section appointment despite realizing that she would need one. But she did so because Kailyn disliked the dates that they gave her.

“I knew I needed a C-section because baby A was breached,” the reality TV alum recalled. “Elijah and I were in the garage on a Saturday and I was pretty much just sitting there and chilling while he was doing the work.

The next day, we were like we need to put up these blinds. I got a crazy phone call so I was going back and forth and then came time to go pick up Lux and Creed,” she added in a reference to her sons Lux, six, and Creed, three.

“So this was at like 5 pm on a Friday. And on the way from our house to the pickup spot is like 15 minutes. So I was like ‘I think I’m in labor.’ But I didn’t want to be dramatic so I was just like let me wait another hour and see where we’re at.”

However, the two headed to the hospital. But the Teen Mom alum admitted feeling upset that the babies arrived on the 19th. And she had wanted the twins to arrive on the 20th, so she asked for a delay, which they refused.

Kailyn Lowry – Wants More Kids?

But Kailyn also shared her upsetting experience with the surgery. “I cried a lot. Mainly out of absolute fear of having a C-section. I was terrified because I didn’t love the idea but I knew I had to do it because the baby was breached.” But she shared “nobody told her” how “difficult” a C-section would feel.

And recovery also proved challenging. Because of her children, she tried to act like “superwoman.” However, she then began to bleed and had to go back to the hospital. And Kailyn confessed, “I should’ve rested and I never did.”

In addition to the twins, Kailyn shares another son, Rio, with Elijah Scott. And the reality TV star shares a son, Isaac, 14, with her ex, Jo Rivera; a son, Lincoln, nine, with her ex-husband, Javi Marroquin; and sons, Lux and Creed with her ex-Chris Lopez.

However, she previously shared that she might welcome more children. And that episode included her friend Bone Estrada. “You just know when you’re not done having kids and you know when you are done having kids. So there was a point where I had said that I was not done having children – we’re gonna do gender selection,” Kailyn revealed. “And then Bone was going to carry my children or child.”
