Chris Harrison Feels Used By The Bachelor Franchise

The former Bachelor host appeared on another podcast to share his experience with the dating franchise. He claims the franchise threw him under the bus.

Chris Harrison and his wife Lauren Zima appeared on the HIM & HER Show, where he talked about the show that gave him a household name. Chris hosted The Bachelor and all of its spinoffs until 2020.

He felt that he was the face and voice of The Bachelor franchise. It becomes part of his identity.

Even though leads and contestants would come and go, Chris felt he was a huge part of the show. His hosting gig allowed him to do interviews and mitigate any issues within the franchise.

Chris Harrison was the person who would deal with these matters. He had no idea that the show was only using him. Chris was not his own person. He was just the face and voice of the show.

He was told to smile and deal with it. He became the go-to man for any of the show’s controversies, ranging from racism to drinking.

Chris recalled the moment that his job was on the line. He had to “do the dance” and make it look like everything was fine.

There was hardly a time when the producers would step in. They would sit back as Chris handled matters. As a result, he felt like a dancing monkey.

Interview With Rachel Lindsay Ended Career

The producers never gave him any criticism. They just told Chris Harrison that he did a good job. No one would support him when he did something wrong.

That all changed when his interview with Rachel Lindsay ended his hosting gig with The Bachelor.

That’s when Chris realized that he was left on his own. He’s still planning a return to television. Chris and Lauren will be featured on Dr. Phil’s network.

They will have their own dating series despite his contract with The Bachelor. There are no new details on this project other than his involvement.
