The Housewife & the Shah Shocker explores the arrest and allegations against Jen Shah of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. She and her assistant, Stuart Smith. were arrested for wire fraud and money laundering. The allegations involved a telemarketing scheme, that sold false business services to her victims. Hulu, via ABC, now brings a documentary that reveals the inside story.

The Housewife & The Shah Shocker Investigates Jen Shah

The indictment against Jen and her assistant alleged that they were involved in the scheme between 2012 and March 2021. Allegedly, they defrauded hundreds of people, many of them elderly. Of course, Bravo fans were shocked. After all, she presented an image on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City of a successful and ethical businesswoman. Now, fans question that. So, the documentary hopefully clears it up a bit for viewers. 

The Housewife & the Shah Shocker isn’t the first scandal to hit the Bravo franchise. Jen’s case is just one of many, which kind of makes fans wonder about the ethics of those that people look up to. Even Lisa Vanderpump of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills faced some scrutiny after the news leaked that she allegedly didn’t pay her restaurant suppliers. Plus, fans know very well that Teresa Giudice and Joe came out a lot less bright than the driven snow.

The Housewife & The Shah Shocker  Documentary

The documentary premieres on Hulu on Monday, Nov. 29. According to Page Six, it looks at all the allegations as well as her “lavish lifestyle.” At least, as seen on TV. Expect interviews from  “her childhood classmate Beth Hahne, her aunt Lehua Vincent and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Dana Wilkey.” Recall, she already featured in The Housewife & the Hustler which covered the story of Erika Jayne and her estranged husband, Tom Girardi.

In addition, “two alleged victims, Penny Jo Pucket and Marie Walker will share their stories about how they were scammed by Shah’s trickery.” Apparently, fans will also see something of  Koa Johnson, the designer who claimed that he felt “traumatized” working for Jen. Fans saw that when Jen and the ladies were leaving for a trip to Vail, Colo., she told them she had to leave as Sharrieff Shah Sr. fell ill. Not long after that, to the surprise of the other housewives, Homeland Security and the New York Police Department came looking for her.

However, others just seem sick and tired of all the less than edifying scandals from the Bravo. Cast., One fan wrote, “I want to hear all of the back story behind her charges. Who will be the next housewife to be charged or accused of something???” Conversely, another fan asked, “Why. Who cares.”
