Todd Chrisley devoted his scenes on Chrisley Knows Best to flaunting his conviction that he truly did know the best way to do, well, everything. And even when the Chrisley patriarch faced criminal accusations, Todd insisted he remained innocent. As a result, the Chrisley Knows Best star believed that his last-minute effort to escape prison would surely succeed. Oops.

Todd And Julie Chrisley – Must Report To Prison: Bail Request Fails!

Julie Chrisley and hubby Todd Chrisley devoted recent interviews to proclaiming their innocence. And even as the date for their federal prison sentences got closer, the two seemed convinced they could somehow produce a get-out-of-jail card from the court system. But their best efforts just got proved wrong, according to People magazine.

And court records reveal that the Chrisley Knows Best patriarch and matriarch faced denials concerning their motion for bail pending appeal. However, the court also refused to accept Todd’s and Julie’s request to delay their surrender date at prison by 21 days. And that means the Chrisley Knows Best stars will need to report to federal prisons in Florida next week.

Julie and Todd had made the request for bail in order to stay at home. And the Chrisley Knows Best matriarch and patriarch thought they could then use their mansion as their home base from which to appeal their sentences. The charges that landed the two with prison sentences ranged from tax evasion to bank and wire fraud and conspiracy. And their request to extend their surrender date seems to reflect their determination to avoid prison as much as possible.

Chrisley Knows Best – Stars Will Spend Combined 19 Years In Prison

However, social media seemed to take glee in poking at Todd and Julie’s failure to get their court pleas approved. For instance, one Twitter commentator posted, “Todd and Julie Chrisley of the reality television show Chrisley Knows Best must report to federal prison on Jan. 17 to start their sentences of 12 and seven years, respectively, over a $36 million bank fraud scheme and tax evasion. Bond denied! Another grifter to face 🎵🎹🎶.”

And another Twitter critic shared, “This didn’t shock me from day one.” Describing Todd as “BROKE when he started “acting” for this show,” the critic added, “.I wonder what happens in the minds of these people. Suddenly they hear “LETS BREAK THE LAW” exempt from taxes, FAKE IT till u make it says JenShah😂,” added the Twitter commentator in a reference to Real Housewives star Jen Shah’s recent prison sentence.

However, with the court denials, it seems that Todd and Julie need to face a new normal. And in accordance with the convictions of a multi-million-dollar bank fraud and tax evasion scheme, Todd will begin his 12-year prison sentence on January 17 at Federal Prison Camp Pensacola. On the same date, Julie will start her seven years behind bars at Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp Marianna.
