Todd Chrisley Struggles In Prison: Dance Moms Alum Abby Lee Miller Reveals Why!

Todd Chrisley has made a dramatic change in his life since he last appeared in front of the Chrisley Knows Best cameras. But Todd didn’t make that change on his own. And instead, the Chrisley Knows Best alum ended up moving from his mansion to a prison cell after a guilty verdict.

However, someone who made a similar journey knows how it feels. And now Dance Moms alum Abby Lee Miller has offered her unique views on how Todd will fare. Find out why Abby Lee thinks Chrisley will struggle in prison below.

Todd Chrisley – Dance Moms Alum Abby Lee Miller Weighs In On Todd Chrisley

Todd Chrisley turned himself into his new prison home a few months ago. And as the Chrisley Knows Best star serves the first phase of his 12-year sentence, Dance Moms alum Abby Lee Miller dished up her wisdom. After serving her own prison sentence, Miller feels that she knows how Todd might feel as he adjusts to his new life, according to Pop Culture.

Todd Chrisley

As Dance Moms fans know, Abby Lee earned a reputation for her bluntness. And she demonstrated that trait in sharing her views on the Chrisley Knows Best alum. Because Todd seems “very bougie,” Miller feels that he will struggle with going from luxuries to bare necessities. “He is not going to be able to handle, like, the soap and the towels,” predicted Abby Lee.

But the Dance Moms alum did survive her year in prison for fraud from 2017 to 2018. And she feels that Todd can follow her lead. “I think he’ll do some trade outs, there’s a way to survive in there,” explained Abby Lee.

However, Miller shared that she did struggle at times. And she blames those challenges on her celebrity status. “When I went in, nobody even wanted to come to the front to get me,” revealed the Dance Moms alum. “There were volunteers that come and give you a tour and all that,” she added. But “no one would come except my dear friend, Michelle, who I still talk to at least once a week.”

Todd Chrisley – Should Stay ‘Careful’ In Prison

And the Dance Moms alum revealed that she took time to give the Chrisley Knows Best alum some tips prior to his prison sentence. However, Abby Lee primarily focused on warning Todd to “be careful.” And she didn’t comment on the fact that Chrisley faces a much longer sentence than Miller.

Both Todd and his wife Julie Chrisley learned in June 2022 that the court found them guilty of charges such as tax evasion, bank and wire fraud, and conspiracy. As a result, the Chrisley Knows Best alums received a combined 19-year prison sentence. Julie will serve seven years in prison, while Todd will serve 12 years. And when that ends, each will submit to 16 months of probation.
