Are Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Getting Dukedoms in Ireland?

It looks like Meghan Markle is getting a new royal title that she didn’t expect. Reports indicate that Harry and Meghan might soon become the Duke and Duchess of Connaught after their wedding. It’s a title that relates to a part of Ireland that is no longer part of the United Kingdom.
Apparently, Queen Elizabeth has the right to give her family members whatever titles she wants. So far she’s managed to follow tradition by giving her sons and her grandson Prince William titled and dukedoms of deceased princes. The only exception has been Prince Edward, who was given the title earl.
The Irish press is currently concerned about the possibility of Harry and Meghan becoming the Duke and Duchess of Connaught. The province of Connaught left the United Kingdom back in 1922 when the Irish Free State was established. Historically it was an area that was a country in its own right but was forced to be kept in the union with England until Ireland declared independence in 1916. The first Duke of Connaught was Prince Arthur, who served as the governor general of Canada from 1911 to 1916.
And while everyone is taking bets as to what Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s future titles will be, none of this has been confirmed by Buckingham Palace. As a matter of fact, many believe that the other title possibility might be the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are actually considered to be the most likely choice as there is currently no one holding the title. Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton are also often referred as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be getting married at Windsor Castle on May 19th. It will be the first marriage for the royal prince and the second for Meghan. She divorced her ex-husband Trevor Engelson back in 2013.

Naw. Why hassle the Irish ? Halfwit and Sparkle should “get” a dukedom of cleaning toilets in a mental hospital. That would suit them both just fine.

Sign a petition to prevent Markle from gaining royal titles and for Harry to have consequences for marrying her if they do marry. Go to petitions dot org and do a search on her name, you’ll find the petition.
