Samantha is suing Meghan Markle for a total of $75,000 as she wants to clear her name. Samantha says that she has been unfairly portrayed in the media and that Meghan’s story of how she went from “rags to riches” is completely untrue.

Samantha and Meghan’s lawyers are currently battling things out in a virtual courtroom. The case has prompted a lot of fans to wonder what might happen should Meghan Markle lose this case. Samantha’s lawyer says that there were at least seven defamatory statements that were made about her in the 2020 biography, Finding Freedom. Yet, Meghan’s lawyer says that she should be excluded from the case as she did not write or publish the book. Her lawyer also said that Meghan’s comments about Samantha were taken out of context.

Meghan’s lawyer Michael Kump said, “All she did was describe her own experiences growing up. Such statements are not readily capable of being proved true or false.”
