It looks like Meghan Markle’s close friends in Hollywood are rallying behind her to give her as much support as possible as the media continues to cover all the feud between the Duchess and her estranged family. As a matter of fact, actor George Clooney claims that Meghan is being both “pursued and vilified” by the press and even compares her to the late Princess Diana.
According to the Daily Mail, the 57-year-old Hollywood star has warned that history might repeat itself if the media doesn’t back down on its attacks against Meghan Markle. He claims that the press is pursuing the Duchess of Sussex the same way that Princess Diana was before her untimely death back in 1997. Both George and his wife Amal Clooney attended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding at Windsor Castle in May of last year.
Speaking at an event in Los Angeles, George said, “I do want to say, I just saw this piece. They’re just chasing Meghan Markle everywhere, she’s been pursued and vilified. She’s a woman who is seven months pregnant and she is being pursued and vilified and chased in the same way that Diana was, and it’s history repeating itself. And we’ve seen how that ends.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the ongoing public feud between Meghan Markle and her estranged family members. Even though her father Thomas was reportedly invited to her royal wedding to Prince Harry last year, he failed to show up, citing health problems. Both he and Meghan’s half-sister Samantha Markle have spent the most part of last year slamming both Meghan and the royal family in a series of media interviews and appearances.
