Here’s What Prince Harry Really Liked About Kate Middleton Before She Married Prince William

Even though she’s married to Prince William, there’s no denying that Kate Middleton used to have a very close relationship with her brother-in-law, Prince Harry. And by that, we mean that they were so comfortable with one another that the Duke of Sussex even called her the sister that he never had.

Well, there’s a new report that says Prince Harry sure did like one thing in particular about Kate, and this was well before she married William, too. Here’s what you need to know.

According to a new report, Prince Harry loved how carefree Kate’s personality was in the beginning. In his book, Spare, the Duke of Sussex talked about how much fun he and Kate had with Prince WIlliam at a costume party that the three of them attended back in 2010.

Harry wrote in his book, “I liked his new girlfriend. She was carefree, sweet, kind. She’d done a gap year in Florence, knew about photography, art. And clothes. She loved clothes. Her name was Kate. I forget what native or colonial thing she was wearing to the party, but with her help Willy had chosen for himself some kind of…feline outfit.”

Harry Had A Great Relationship With Kate

He continued, “Skintight leotard with (am I remembering this correctly?) a springy, bouncy tail. He tried it on for us and he looked like a cross between Tigger and Baryshnikov. Kate and I had a great time pointing our fingers at him and rolling around on the floor. It was ridiculous, especially in a three-way mirror. But ridiculous, they both said, was the point of the upcoming party.”

Unfortunately, Harry and Kate aren’t as close as they used to be, and that’s because of the friction Meghan Markle might or might not have caused in their relationship. Either way, it doesn’t look like they will be going to any costume parties anytime soon.
