King Charles Is Not Bothered By All The Sussex Drama

With the coronation coming up, you can imagine that the King has little brain space for anything else, much less more drama from the Sussex camp.

Anyway, it’s becoming normal for him to face attacks from the Montecito-based Sussexes. It reportedly first shocked him when Harry and Meghan sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a tell-all interview, which saw them throw several accusations the royal family’s way.

In response, he allegedly wrote letters to Meghan to figure out what made them so angry they had to lash out as publicly as they did.

King Charles Is “Just Getting On With It” and Not “Obsessing” Over Harry And Meghan

According to the author of “Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait,” Gyles Brandreth, King Charles is quite content to let the Sussexes live abroad and forge a new path for their family.

The British broadcaster revealed that, unlike the rest of the world, King Charles isn’t particularly bothered about the rift and only wants Harry to be happy with the decision he’s made.

“I don’t think they [Charles and Queen Camilla] are obsessing about it the way that we are,” Brandreth told Page Six. “They are just getting on with it.”

The BBC radio personality then pointed to Charles’ first speech as king, when he said that he wishes Harry and Meghan the best as they continue to build their lives overseas, as proof that he’s chill with the Sussexes quitting royal life.

“He sort of made the situation clear and wished Harry and Meghan love and well, as they build their life overseas,” Mr Brandreth said. “So, you know, in this country, I think we’ve accepted well, that’s what they’re doing.”

Harry is set to attend his father’s coronation solo on May 6, but he will be jetting back immediately after the church service. Meghan and the kids will remain behind in California and celebrate Archie’s birthday.

“After much back and forth, Harry said that he would be returning for the King’s Coronation but it will only be a fleeting visit,” an insider told the Mirror. “Organisers have been told Harry won’t be attending the concert with the rest of the Royal Family, which is a great shame as it will be such a spectacular event.”
