He wants to be back in the spotlight but it looks like he’s not ready to do it completely on his own. There’s a new report that suggests Prince Andrew might be using Prince William and Kate Middleton as a ‘PR shield.’

By being seen with the Prince and Princess of Wales in public, the Duke of York might actually have a better time of making his way back into public life.

Because if William and Kate can accept and forgive him again, then surely the rest of the world can do the same, right? Here’s what you need to know.

Just this last weekend, Prince Andrew was spotted driving to church outside of Windsor with none other than William and Kate.

Some people believe that this was a strategic move as it’s King Charles’ way of showing the world that the royal family is putting on a united front.

And to a certain extent, those royal fans and critics might be right.

Well, one PR expert now claims that Prince Andrew needs both William and Kate because they are part of his lifeline.

Jordan James of UnlockedPR told Entertainment Daily in an interview, “Navigating the intricacies of royal relationships is a tightrope walk that William and Kate appear to be mastering – at least for now.

The photo-op with Prince Andrew isn’t necessarily a misstep for the future King and Queen, I’d say it’s more of a calculated gamble.”

He also said that the Duke of York is using William and Kate to slowly but surely win over the public’s favor again and of course, fix his reputation and his royal brand.

James continued, “Essentially, they’re banking on their own goodwill to act as a conduit for Andrew’s potential re-entry into public favor.

Think of trying to cover over the cracks with some nice wallpaper, or a carefully placed bit of decor that will distract you from what’s really going on.”

Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter.
