British royal family news shows that even if Meghan Markle skips King Charles’ Coronation on May 8, she could still upend the lavish ceremony. That’s because she’s been named in an ugly lawsuit, with her own sister accusing her of defamation.

Samantha Markle is showing Meghan and Harry that two can play the blame game; she’s not having Meghan portray her as a nonexistent sibling and a bad mother.

Royal expert Dickie Arbiter told Jo Elvin on Palace Confidential that the pending court case is nothing short of a minefield. Dickie has served as press secretary for the late Queen Elizabeth and King Charles.

According to him, Meghan and her Markle family could taint the Coronation depending on what transpires between now and May.

He said, “It’s a bit like walking through a minefield that’s only been half-cleared and we really have to wait and see what the judge is going to sum up on.” This week Samantha and her lawyer appeared for a virtual court hearing.

Samantha’s lawyer declared that Meghan put, “her sister down,” because she threatened to expose her.

The Mail on Sunday’s Charlotte Griffiths also chimed in on the coronation controversy: “They probably do want to end the speculation and it’s annoying for them, because I actually think Meghan and Harry haven’t made up their minds either.”

Charlotte stated of the royals, “They can’t say you’re banned because that would make them look terrible … the palace just don’t know whether Harry and Meghan will accept. It would be very embarrassing for them if Harry and Meghan make a show of refusing the invitation.”

In the end, Charlotte would like to see Meghan at the Coronation, but Dickie doesn’t want to see either of the royal runaways. “Are they going to come? It’s the $100,000 question. If they do come, I don’t think it’s they, I think it will be him rather than her.
