British royal family news reveals that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle finally released a Christmas card, a day late and a dollar short. Social media is underwhelmed and collectively attending to their own last minute shopping to give a fig. Plus the real royals sent festive greetings to the world days ago.

One royal watcher predicted the PR loving pair were waiting till the last minute to “trump” the monarch and capture attention–next year maybe be first instead of last.

The photo does show the first public glimpse of their daughter Lilibet Diana, at the age of six months, plus big brother Archie, two years old.

Royal Family News – The Markle’s Greet A World Too Busy To Care

The family look joyful, as in GAP ad joyful. They are posed in matching denim, with Harry and Meghan seated and grinning. Meghan holds Lili and Harry has his arm around Archie.

Archie has inherited his dad’s thick red hair, and baby Lili looks to be quite content.

Royal Family News – The Markle’s Release A Christmas Card

The card is actually pretty unremarkable except for the usual Markle tripe about politics—when was the last time your sister-in-law sent you a Christmas card announcing her latest political stance? Oh well, some things never change, stay classy Harry and Meghan.

The greeting reads: “This year we welcomed out daughter, Lilibet, to the world. Archie made us a “Mama and Papa” and Lili made us a family. As we look forward to 2022 we have made donations on your behalf to several organizations that honor and protect families – from those being relocated from Afhghanistan to American families in need of paid parental leave.”

Now that’s awkward. They have donated money on my behalf? Does that count as a gift? Do I owe them a thank you card? I didn’t get them anything!

The Gift That Keeps On Giving

The couple who ditched the monarchy for financial freedom look awfully low key after a year of flashing their wealth and howling like hyenas with full stomachs. Maybe the PR team got through to them?
