The Hunts told Sunday People that Harry wrote back to them saying that he could help, “had I been in the same role I once was.” That subtle reference is in regard to his blatant betrayal of the royal family by abandoning them in a most public manner so that he could chase after, “financial freedom.”

So yes, in a manner of speaking Harry is no longer in the role he once was, completely of his own doing. A lot of other things have changed along the way, like his popularity among the nation plummeting due to his dishonorable way of trashing his family while their patriarch Prince Philip was on his death bed and that’s just for starters.

Harry wrote, “I deeply empathize with what your family is going through and so wish I could assist formally, had I been in the same role I once was. Grief can be a long and burdensome road. Please know you and your family remain in my thoughts.”

Harry and his wife Meghan Markle had the opportunity to meet the Hunts in 2018 during a World War I memorial ceremony. They expressed their condolences and Harry hugged Maria.

Royal Family News – Harry Wrote A Letter To One Soldier’s Parents

Derek Hunt said, “I think the letter shows how much Harry cared about Nathan. He described Nathan as a hero and I think he is very sympathetic to our cause of trying to get Nathan’s name on the memorial. I know he has had a tough time in the UK but I don’t care about any of that. You can see from the letter that Harry still cares about the armed forces and if he was able to he would use his influence to help get Nathan’s name on the memorial.”

Harry and Hunt were in Afghanistan in 2008 as part of a bomb search team. Hunt died in Lincoln, England on Jan. 2, 2018 at the age of 39. His parents want Hunt’s name added to the memorial, but officials have rejected the request noting that Hunt’s death was not linked to his military service.
