“The reverse happened,” Meghan said in the interview, though sources have revealed that both women cried over the incidence. She further said that Kate did what she would have done if she hurt someone by apologizing to her, even offering her flowers.

Comments like these, according to sources close to the Royal Family, make William awfully feel the need to protect Kate from the negativity.

Prince William Is Distressed About His Wife Receiving Negative Media Attention

Prince Harry and Princess Kate are well-known for their calm demeanors in public. But Harry is said to lose his cool when it comes to attacks on Kate.

Penny Junor, respected biographer of both Prince William and Prince Harry, disclosed William’s state of mind over the incident, “William is very protective of Kate and can get very angry. For Meghan to name Kate in a negative light is worse than being attacked himself.”

The royals are still digesting the claims and the counter-claims that were spawn in the wake of Meghan and Harry’s interview. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a lot of claims and pointed a lot of accusing fingers, mostly to unknown figures who they refused to reveal.

But William reportedly wishes they’d left his wife’s name out of their little chit-chat with Oprah.

Perhaps among the most alarming of their revelations was Meghan complaining of having suicidal thoughts and still not getting help from the Royal Family and the supposed talks of Archie’s skin color.

Harry also said that he feels for his father and brother who are “trapped” within the monarchy.

There was “anger” according to a palace source told PEOPLE. “There were genuinely mixed emotions and deep sorrow and shock too.”

Meghan Markle Compares Her Beginning Days As A Royal To Kate Middelton’s

In additional clips released on CBS This Morning after the airing of the initial interview on March 7, Meghan compared her treatment by the British tabloids to the one Kate received during her early days as a royal.

“This was different,” she recounted of the Press’s treatment of her. Oprah then asked, “Different because of the race?” to which Meghan responded, “And because of social media.”

Meghan further added, “Kate was called ‘Waity Katie,’ waiting to marry William. While I imagine that was really hard — and I do, I can’t picture what that felt like — this is not the same. And if a member of his family will comfortably say, ‘We’ve all had to deal with some things that are rude,’ rude and racist are not the same.”
