Thomas Markle Shares Meghan’s Letter After Royal Wedding, Confirms Her Friends’ Account

The rift between Meghan Markle and her father Thomas Markle has been dragging on ever since her marriage to Prince Harry. She never spoke about him negatively in public but the same cannot be said about her father. Thomas has been claiming that he had no way to reach Meghan but her closest friends are telling a different story. They claim that he had her phone number but it was he who never called or texted. Now, it would seem that what they were saying was actually true.

It all started when Thomas opted not to attend Meghan’s wedding after it was revealed that he conspired with the paparazzi to stage a photo shoot with the royal couple before the wedding day. Since this revelation, Thomas and Meghan’s half-sister Samantha have continued their spew tirades on her, which the U.K. tabloids used to their advantage.

Recently, Thomas shared his daughter’s handwritten five-page letter to him after the royal wedding, People reports. In the letter, which dated August 2018, Meghan started off by telling her father how broken hearted she is that he decided to ignore all the pain he’s been causing. She also said that she’d never understood his reasons for causing “unnecessary and unwanted pain” and for not telling the truth about what really happened.

Meghan even pleaded for his father to stop telling negative things about her and Prince Harry and to “let them live in peace.” In the letter, Meghan also mentioned that her father never got in touch with her before and after the nuptials. She also clarified things when he claimed that she never helped him financially.

Thomas responded to Meghan in a form of a lengthy letter as well where he asked if they could have a photo together to “show harmony.” He even went as far as asking her to “fake it” and just show up for the shoot even though she and Harry don’t like the idea. With all these, it’s safe to say that the drama in the Markle family is far from over.
