Why Queen Elizabeth Can’t Ice Out Meghan Markle, Duchess Of Sussex Like She Did Princess Diana

The Queen And Meghan Markle British royal family news reveals that Queen Elizabeth always has the last word in the fabled monarchy. When Prince Harry Duke Of Sussex and Meghan Markle Duchess of Sussex dropped their devastating Megxit bomb, she could have lowered the boom on them in a way reminiscent of how she snubbed Princess Diana who also went to war against her.

But she didn’t. When Princess Diana humiliated The Firm 25 years ago with her jaw-dropping tell-all interview with Martin Bashir, there was nowhere for Diana to go but out. So you would think history would repeat itself when her son did much the same. But you’d be wrong and here’s why.

Why Did Her Majesty Treat Harry And Meghan Differently Than She Treated Princess Diana?

SheKnows spoke to Robert Lacey, the author of the royal tell-all Battle of Brothers: Prince William and Harry — The Inside Story of a Family in Tumult, and he spilled the dirt about the queen’s non-reactionary behavior after Megxit.

According to Lacey, the queen and her husband Prince Philip, “had long ceased being fans of their ex-daughter-in-law.”

Meghan has largely followed in Diana’s footsteps in condemning the royals in a very public fashion. But Lacey thinks the queen has an ulterior motive in not snubbing the rude relation.

Does The Queen Think That Meghan Markle Has A Big Part To Play As The Monarchy Moves Through The 21st Century?

He said, “There’s a political sense…in which the queen welcomed her as a first mixed-race recruit to the royal family. And so it must be distressing for the queen that 30 months later, this mixed-race recruit and her mixed-race son Archie are no longer classed as royal. They’ve been suspended from the royal family.”

“If everybody welcomed Meghan as a sign of the royal family’s contact with Black Lives Matter and racial progress and harmony in this country, what does it mean when they’re separate from the royal family?” he asks theoretically.

He believes that Her Majesty is aware that an all-white royal family does not represent the totality of her commonwealth, and wishes Meghan to play a bigger role in The Firm someday.

Does The Queen Have Another More Personal Reason For Not Snubbing Meghan?

Lacey thinks that there is a second reason the queen wishes to retain a relationship with Meghan and one that is much more personal. He claims, “There’s a sense in which the queen is closer emotionally to William and Harry than she is to her own sons. Whenever she’s been with Meghan, she’s exhibiting the most cordial, outgoing affection for her. We know that’s what she feels for Harry. We can presume that she will welcome anybody who makes her grandson happy.”

Much has been made of the fact that it is believed the queen will allow Harry and Meghan to return to the fold anytime they want, a privilege that Diana was not given. Is it because, as Lacey asserts, that Meghan Markle’s value is worth a little fuss in exchange for what she brings to the table?

The trashy third rate actress destroyer will always snub the Queen and betray her every chance she gets, the creature will take her weak slave boy Harry with her

It's such an unfortunate pity that Megan has managed to become such a focus of attention. This attention would be much better spent on a woman, a multi race woman who is more intelligent, experienced, familiar with ordinary everyday people. Whilst Megan may not have come from Harry's background her behaviour and actions screams of enough privileges to not fully understand what she is talking about when discussing the plight and problems of ordinary people.

I feel the space she is so aggressively taking up on the world stage would be much better spent on someone people can respect and relate to. If she truly cares for her causes she would step aside and let a woman such as Michelle Obama or Oprah Winfrey who can command respect, sympathy and empathy to take the global stage and really move issues forward in a positive and constructive fashion. The negativity Megan has generated is not going to change now. Some of her actions have come across to people as self-serving, even nastily calculating and I very much doubt she is going to be able to convince people who feel this way about her otherwise. Not enough people want to back her, she is just not the right fit for a global influential leader.

Why do you feel the need to be so confrontational, accusing me of trying to speak for everyone!!! I don't believe I have tried to say my thoughts reflect everyone's. Obviously I have noticed there are some who are in agreement with me, others who have an even lesser opinion of this couple and some, like yourself who condone their actions. I am not so arrogant or stupid to believe I speak for everyone or perhaps anyone but myself. I am not trying to pick an argument with anyone or nastily reply to people who don't share my options. This hub has asked for people's views on this situation and we are all entitled to add our opinions. It's amusing that you can't seem to let people have their own opinions without some aggressive response, a habit which I actually don't respect.
