’90 Day Fiancé’ News: Fernanda Flores Officially Single After Divorce From Jonathan Rivera

90 Day Fiancé Fernanda Flores couldn’t be happier after finalizing her divorce from Jonathan Rivera on Monday.

It’s official. Reality star Fernanda Flores, 21, of 90 Day Fiancé, on Monday, finalized her divorce from 33-year-old Jonathan Rivera. Apparently, Fernanda couldn’t be happier to end this chapter in her life.

Fernanda Flores of 90 Day Fiancé is single again

In January last year, Jonathan Rivera made an Instagram Live post to tell fans and followers he was splitting from Fernanda Flores. Fast forward to Monday this week and Fernanda has taken to Instagram to share the news that she is now “officially single” again.

The couple starred in season 6 of the TLC reality show 90 Day Fiancé. The season covered their relationship from meeting in a club in Mexico, while Jonathan was on vacation, through to his proposal just three months later. Jonathan and Fernanda were married in Chicago during May 2018.

Flores’ Instagram post reveals her happily posing in Chicago, and walking from the courthouse with documents in her hand. She lets out an excited squeal, captioning the post “Officially single!”

Fernanda continued by writing “By forgiving and closing chapters you open your heart to more blessings to come in your way.” She went on to thank her friends, followers, and family for all their support and love during this journey. Flores stressed that “This isn’t a failure, this is a win! Excited to see what God has planned for me.”

Age gap problems on 90 Day Fiancé

Rivera and Flores had issues on 90 Day Fiancé, mainly about their age difference, which caused a number of arguments. However, last January, Jonathan said he and Fernanda will
“remain friends” following the split.

Rivera went on to say in his defense, “I promise you, I didn’t give up. I gave 110 percent to my marriage,” but continued by saying he had reached a point where he told himself he had to love himself just as much. Jonathan promises he will give everything he can to the next person in his life.

Fernanda and Jonathan aren’t the first on the TLC reality show to have problems relating to an age gap. ET interviewed Ed Brown from season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Ed, 54, is also in a relationship where he is much older than his Philippine girlfriend. Ed wasn’t completely truthful with Rosemarie, 23, who he had met online. Time will tell if the age difference has any major impact on that relationship.
