New Amsterdam Previews Sweet Scene Between Max And Helen

New Amsterdam spoilers and updates tease that the show dropped a snap featuring a sweet rooftop scene between Max Goodwin (Ryan Eggold) and Helen Sharpe (Freema Agyeman). TVLine shared an exclusive photo for the show’s upcoming season 4 premiere and it seems the pair are finally ready to be together.

Fans may recall that in the final episode of season 3, Max made a significant gesture that hinted a future for him and Helen. He finally decided to take off his wedding ring and after he did, the pair were locked in each other’s arms and looked like they were about to share a passionate kiss. Max and Helen look good together but is everything as perfect as it seems between these two doctors?

Max Goodwin And Helen Sharpe Needs To Talk

Showrunner David Schulner said that many things were left unsaid between them as they walked to Helen’s door. He hinted that there will be no conversation once they close the door. So fans can expect to see a lot of things happen once that’s done.

Schulner teased that viewers know more about these characters. Max and Helen have a lot of talking to do. They need to know what they’ve been up to well before they can move on with their relationship.

The upcoming season 4 comes with the tagline “Love heals.” Schulner said that the new season will be “the joy of reclaiming our lives [and] chasing happiness wherever we can find it. He also revealed that the upcoming episodes will be “about the people we love and holding them close and never wanting to let them go — and potentially running after them.”

Season 4, which is scheduled to air on September 21, will have a premier title of “More Joy.” Schulner said it will be about reevaluating life and figuring out that it’s better to hold on to things you love and getting rid of those that don’t bring you joy.

The show has tapped Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist guest star Sandra Mae Frank to play the role of Dr. Wilder. She’s one of the few and the best deaf surgeons in New York. Chloe Freeman of The Blacklist has also joined the cast of the show as Dr. Pavan Carey. She’ll be a new resident in the Emergency Department that’s under Dr. Bloom.
