New Amsterdam: A Glimpse At The Life Of Max And Helen In London

New Amsterdam spoilers and updates tease that fans were given a glimpse of Max Goodwin (Ryan Eggold) and Helen Sharpe (Freema Agyeman)’s life in London. Showrunner David Schulner dropped hints on the pair’s new life in London.

Fans may recall that Max was hesitant to leave the hospital in the hands of Dr. Veronica Fuentes (Michelle Forbes). But Schulner wants to reassure viewers that he’s not having any second thoughts about his commitment to his girlfriend Helen Sharpe.

The showrunner hinted that Sharpe’s worry is that it’ll be her fault if Max feels unhappy in London.

“That’s a heavy toll to have someone and their young child move to a different country for you,” Schulner explained.

“It’s not to say that there won’t be challenges along the way for Max and Sharpe, but they’re challenges that any relationship faces and any strong couple can weather,” he continued.

New Amsterdam Spoilers – What To Expect When New Amsterdam Returns Next Year

Fans can look forward to new and exciting things when New Amsterdam returns on January 4, 2022. New episodes will let fans in the life of Helen and Max in London. Helen will be working as a medical director at a clinic, which is part of the National Health Service.

As for Max, he’s still waiting to get his license to work in the U.K. Schulner now wonders how a man who wants to help people do exactly that without having a license. Fans will get to see how things will go for Max as he tries to find his footing during the first few episodes this coming January.

Now that Max is gone, Dr. Lauren Bloom (Janet Montgomery), Dr. Floyd Reynolds (Jocko Sims), and Dr. Iggy Frome (Tyler Labine) are now under the regime of Veronica. Schulner teased that Max and Helen left New Amsterdam at the worst possible moment. Now that Max is gone, no one can go against Veronica unless Dr. Elizabeth Wilder (Sandra Mae Frank) decides to step up.

How will they deal with Veronica? Will Max think of returning to the US? Or will he be staying with Helen in London for good?

Next year, the series will expand its scope. It’ll follow the story of the doctors working in New Amsterdam and how the hospitals in the United States work compared to the health care system in London, where Max and Helen are now both part of.
