Bridgerton: Nicola Coughlan Tells Fans To “Prepare Thyself” For Season 2

Bridgerton Spoilers – Kate Sharma Confronts Anthony Bailey

Coughlan and Jonathan Bailey, who portrays Anthony Bridgerton, teased the upcoming second Bridgerton season as they both appeared in the first look trailer that was released during the TUDUM event last Saturday. In the latest trailer, Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) confronts Anthony after hearing him talk about his requirements for a wife.

“When you manage to find this paragon of virtue, what makes you think she will accept your suit? Are the ladies of London to be so easily won by a pleasing smile and absolutely nothing more?” Sharma said. She also pointed out that Anthony looks “entirely too high” at himself. She added that his horsemanship and character are both deficient.

Bridgerton Spoilers – Interviews With Cast Members

Aside from the clips from upcoming scenes, the Bridgerton sneak peek also included short interviews of the cast members.

Coughlan reacted to the fact that the series ranked among the top 10 shows on Netflix in almost every country. She said “bonkers” while Bailey described the situation “as completely nuts.”

Ashey also described Bridgerton as “inclusive” and that she’s very happy and proud to be part of it. Charitha Chandran is also grateful for the opportunity and admitted that she never thought she’ll be part of it. Never in her wildest dreams did she imagine that someone who looks like me will wear those outfits. But she’s happy that it happened.

Bridgerton Spoilers – Season 2

Bridgerton season 1 premiered in December 2020. It immediately became a huge hit. The first season followed the love story of Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page). Page has announced his exit from the show in April. However, he hinted at a possible return later on.

The show is based on the book series of Julia Quinn. It was created by Chris Van Dusen and produced by Shonda Rhimes. The second season will be different from the first. It will no longer focus on Daphne and Simon. Instead, the spotlight will be on Bailey’s character as he tries to find the love of his life. The actor told fans to enjoy the year and warned them not to get comfy and think that they know what will happen next.
