Chicago Med Producer Andrew Schneider Hints Romantic Partnerships for Season 7

Chicago Med executive producer Andrew Schneider has teased the future on-screen relationships in the upcoming storyline in Season 7 of the NBC series particularly for Dr. Daniel Charles and Dr. Dylan Scott.

The people at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center were romantically troubled since the start of Season 7, just like Dr. Will Halstead’s (Nick Gehlfuss) former lover, Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto), who was fired due to stealing. Ethan Choi’s (Brian Tee) relationship with April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta) has also ended when the latter left the show.

Meanwhile, Dr. Crockett Marcel (Dominic Rains), who placed himself in a love triangle between Dr. Pamela Blake (Sarah Rafferty) and her daughter, Avery (Johanna Braddy), will probably have trouble in the future. It will cause a lot of misunderstandings the moment Pamela and Avery find out they are both involved with the same guy.

‘Chicago Med’ Spoilers –  Future Love Storyline For Dr. Charles And Dr. Scott Revealed

As documented by TV Insider, the showrunner Andrew Schneider revealed there’s an upcoming romantic storyline for Dr, Scott: “We’re going to see a romantic relationship for Dr. Scott later, we’re building that.”

Dr. Dylan Scott (Guy Lockard) just recently joined the cast as a former police officer who quit his job and became a doctor. He will be involved with his former lover, Carmen, but the latter is already married to Tyrell, whom Dr. Scott arrested in the past. Their paths will cross once more when the couple’s son, Darius, is diagnosed with cancer.

Meanwhile, Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt) will fall in love again after all the heartbreaks in the past. He was previously involved with CeCe (Paula Newsome), with whom he shared a daughter named Robin (Mekia Cox). The couple called it quits but got to light their love once more. However, death separated them when CeCe didn’t survive cancer.

After those unfortunate events, Andrew Schneider has plans for the character. “What would you think about Dr. Charles having a romantic relationship later? That’s in the works,” he teased.

‘Chicago Med’ Spoilers – Season 7 To Air In late February 2022

The series previous episode for Season 7 titled “What You Don’t Know Can’t Hurt You” will be its last episode for January. Instead of the new episodes, NBC will rerun season 7 for two weeks because the Winter Olympics will appear on-screen on the show’s reserved time slot.

It will be long weeks to go for its comeback but it was confirmed that “Chicago Med” will be back on February 23, 2022, with its next episode titled “Reality Leaves A Lot To The Imagination.” Keep checking back here for more Chicago Med spoilers and news.
