Doctor Who Trailer Gets Fans Fired Up Over Season 12

The Season 12 Doctor Who trailer has fans excited. BBC unveiled an action-packed trailer 56 years later from the day it first aired. Jodie Whittaker will make her return as the Time Lord as Chris Chibnall teased the “biggest episode ever.” It also looks like the Cybermen are making a comeback as well.

The BBC’s new trailer hinted towards the Time Lord’s dark past including some returning villains. Even though most of the trailer focuses on bizarre new locations, comedic moments, and mysterious monsters, there’s definitely something darker going on. The Doctor is heard saying, “Something’s coming for me. I can feel it.”

There are also some returning faces, including actor and comedian Stephen Fry. Fans will also enjoy seeing returns of the giant creatures like the Judoon and the Racnoss. The new Doctor Who trailer revealed everything that fans can expect in early 2020. It provides some satisfaction to fans since the British series will be skipping the usual Thanksgiving and Christmas specials this year, according to a report via The Mirror. Season 12 is expected to kick off on New Year’s Day.

It’s anticipated to be one of the biggest episodes in the show’s history. The second part of the story will then return on January 4, as the series will go back to its original Saturday night timeslot. In addition, the BBC has announced its Christmas television line-up, which includes brand new shows include its popular original series. As previously reported via Radio Times, the most popular holiday special Gavin & Stacey will air on Christmas Day.

However, it won’t be Christmas without Doctor Who. But fans will be happy to wait until the new year for the 12th series with Jodie Whittaker to return to their screens soon. The series will also star Bradley Walsh, Mandip Gill and Tosin Cole. Meanwhile, former Time Lord Peter Capaldi will star in Martin’s Close on BBC Four, according to the report.
